I've software I downloaded that won't install:
Check the system specs with the software vendor that it's suitable for your operating system hardware.
The software I am installing is asking for a serial number:
Full commercial software giveaways may require a serial code before use. Instructions will either be contained in a text file provided with the software or printed in the magazine.
I cannot register my software on the manufacturers website:
Please check the date of the magazine. Most offers are time limited and only supported for 6 months.
I am having problems with a Linux install:
Linux comes in many different varieties and versions so unfortunately our support team are unable to provide technical help for Linux problems. The best way to get information on any Linux issues is to search or post a question in our Linux Format forums.
Videos I have downloaded do not play correctly:
Poor video playback could be due to a number of reasons. The first thing to do is to make sure you have the latest version for your video playback software. We recommend Quicktime Player (www.apple.com/quicktime/download/) or VLC (www.videolan.org/vlc/) for the best performance.
Can I get a disc version of the content:
There is no way to provide a disc-based edition of any Future Vault content. Some print editions of our magazine's may ship with discs, however they are only available with the purchase of that print edition of the magazine.
File archives (ZIP, Sit, RAR):
Some content you download will be provided in a compressed archived format. Your computer may already have software to extract these files. Otherwise download a free program such as 7-Zip (www.7-zip.org) for Windows, or The Unarchiver (http://wakaba.c3.cx/s/apps/unarchiver.html) for OS X.
I can't find an item that's mentioned in the magazine:
Please email support and include details on which magazine title/issue number, page number, and product name that is absent.
My question has not been answered:
Please email support at vaultsupport@futurenet.com who will be happy to help.
Can I use the samples from Future Music in my own work?
Every month we give you a wealth of royalty-free samples! You can use them in your music in any way you see fit, without having to pay a penny, even if you end up commercially releasing your work. The only thing you can't do is redistribute them as samples - e.g. as library music or a sample CD.
